We are just a couple of weeks away from returning to Downtown Denver after several months of summering, and simmering, on the Bay of Banderas. That caused us last week to make a second visit of this trip to the fantastic and beautiful Jardin Botanico Vallarta.
Just 24 kilometers, and an adventurous one dollar bus ride, away from Old Town, the garden occupies part of the western-most point of land in Mexico, south of the Baja. It is lush. It is cool at about 1200 feet. And, it represents a tremendous labor of love from its founder and curator, Bob Price. His vision, opened ten years ago, has turned into a garden mentioned frequently throughout the world as “one of the few botanical gardens worth travellng to visit.”
You can read all about it their website, of course. But, I would not plan a trip to Puerto Vallarta, at any time of the year, without including a day spent here! www.vbgardens.org.
Here are some random, shot by Dave, iphone pictures from last week. Go! And, have a great lunch there, too.
