Sretan Bozic’! After a few technical issues, the shop is open again, just in time to say “Merry Christmas!” Watch for more from Croatia and other very livable places, coming soon! Good Luck to Us All!

Yes. If you are putting Port-o-Lets along the Riva in Split for the month-long Christmas Market next to Diocletian’s Palace, they better damn well have “stone” walls!

In Split, Croatia, in the Middle Ages, the Venetians decided they needed to build a fortified tower, next to the 4th Century Roman palace of Diocletian. Totally clashed in style. Where was the Lower Downtown Design Review Board anyway?

A Night at the Opera! In Split, the opera is in the original language, French for “Carmen”, Italian for “Il Trovotore”. The productions in the Croatian National Theater-Split are incredibly staged and performed. And, the sub-titles are conveniently projected above the stage. In Croatian! The audience is lovely, though.
