Is it fair to compare LoDo, RiNo, or LoHi to our current neighborhood…NoBu?

NoBu (North of Bucerias)

We were feeling a bit adrift down here in La Cruz, always reading about the latest trend, restaurant, rent outrage or neighborhood mayhem back in LoHi. Or, RiNo. Or, LoDo. (You know who you are.)

So, we came up with our own catchy neighborhood name, NoBu. Because we are, in fact, just north of the trendy, in some peoples’ minds anyway, Bucerias. Not everyone recognizes it as such. I, personally, find it a bit overrated with a too-large and poorly ventilated flea market, but with a fine five mile long beach and endless views of the whole of the Bay of Banderas. You can almost walk that beach right back to La Cruz. At least you could get close enough to throw a rock from the edge of Bucerias to the edge of La Cruz. So, NoBu it is.

Having said that, Denver by the Slice…Barefoot! wanted to share some visuals of our NoBu that relate to some of what is going on in your neighborhood. Or, not. Wait. Is NoBu also the name of a new sushi restaurant in Cherry Creek?

Like LoHi, NoBu has a major border feature.

And, some new modernist construction thrown in.
